Our Club

Ratoath Harps AFC are a Meath based club providing football activities in our community since 1968. The club has gone from strength to strength with a current membership of over 520+ people between players, coaches, volunteers, committees, associate members and academy players.

Our teams are competing in the NDSL, MGL and Leinster Senior Leagues. The age profiles of our players range from 4 years of age right up to adults.

As an intrinsic part of the community, the Harps are achieving an excellent balance of community-based football along with a strong competitive section. We believe the junior players, both boys and girls, should have an opportunity to continue playing when they progress into adulthood. There’s a place for all within the club to suit all footballing abilities. Our focus is on the continuous development and improvement of our players in a safe environment under the supervision of qualified coaches.

To be a coach or volunteer in our club, you must have a valid child safeguard certificate and complete a Garda vetting process listing Ratoath Harps AFC as the specified organisation.

With an ever-growing demographic in our village, our greatest challenge is to ensure scalability that allows us to grow with the community’s requirements. The club recently completed an ambitious €875k capital expenditure program. The development project delivered a new state of the art full-size all-weather pitch, flood lights and a 398sqm clubhouse including changing rooms for players, referees, bathroom facilities for less abled, club shop and a 170sqm training room.

Our club is a Limited by guarantee organisation meaning we produce annual accounts fully audited by a professional accountancy firm with copies lodged to the Companies Registration Office. The club is a well-structured club with clearly defined roles & responsibilities set out for our volunteers.

Our club moto is Laidir le Cheile – Stronger Together. We have strong belief in this not just from a football angle but as being a part of the wider community.

We value the support we get from our sponsors in helping us deliver on our commitments to our membership. Our sponsors are proud to work alongside a well-run organisation with strong roots within the community of Ratoath.

We are proud of what we’ve achieved since 1968. We look forward with positivity to the future and continued success on and off the pitch for our ambitious club.
